The WIOMSA Scientific Symposium stands as the largest open scientific conference in the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) region, focusing on vital marine and coastal issues. This year’s theme is “One Ocean, One Future: Connecting People, Policy, and Science for a Thriving Western Indian Ocean”, and we has been chosen to present our research abstract, “Integrating Blue Carbon Science, Digital MRV, and Tokenization for a Regional Carbon Market: A Pilot Governance Framework for the Southwest Indian Ocean”.
