Date: 19th November 2024
Venue: The African Union Pavillion, COP29 Blue Zone, Baku Stadium, Azerbaijan
This event by ZERO13, SECDEX Group and The Ministry Of Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment of the Republic Of Seychelles, will be a panel session that explores the unique opportunities and challenges facing Africa’s carbon markets, with a focus on bridging the multi-trillion dollar annual financing gap, enhancing market transparency, and positioning African nations as key players in the global carbon market ecosystem. We will discuss the current situation, and expected future developments and explore the enablers which can create efficiencies, including digital technologies. We believe that this conversation aligns closely with the African Union Commission’s vision of sustainable economic growth and climate resilience, as well as with the broader themes of COP29.
